When Today's adults were studying and going to school or college , jobs prevalent at that time were their dream, but most of them ended up in jobs completely different what their parents/relatives/neighbors were doing. Complete unknown zone of domain with expectations of completely different expertise. That's how the fundamentals of change operates. Changes were slow earlier but now its rapid, rather world is changing exponentially. Technical advances has left and still leaving everyone in bewilderment. Kind of advances via AI, ML, Robotics etc, is creating new avenues for entrepreneurs to explore complete new set of businesses to meet the demand of changing times. Apple, Facebook, Microsoft were a leap at that time, now a second new leap to happen. Peter Thiel in his book 'Zero to One', mentioned that any new generation need a 0 to 1 upgrade, instead of building 1 to n, as this 1 to n change is not a real invention it is enhancement to existing inventions. So all current 0's (Something that do not exist) will eventually turns to 1 (Something new invention), thus a new domain, new zone and new dynamics will come into play. These entrepreneurs, their leaders and the workforce they will have in their setup , would induce new dynamics in play. Intelligence, capabilities , knowledge, Adversity quotient, Emotional quotient will differ in varied levels in the workforce. With current mindset of leadership it will be unmanageable or rather devastating . A more advanced and surrealistic approach will be needed to manage such uniquely skilled workforce, with readiness to keep upgrading of approach exponentially as technology advances. Not a one fit approach that might work currently in some set-ups.
Changes are welcomed by civilizations if those are for larger good and betterment, but at the same time adapting to changes is not easy. Changing a fixed mindset to a dynamic one needs complete overhaul of thinking process. Upbringing in an environment, fixes a way human mind perceives the present situation. Each individual's perception for same situation differs based on how his or her mind operates. Leaders for tomorrow need to posses mind that is adaptable and not with perceived convictions. Workforce for tomorrow will be more 'Interest' driven, instead of benefits driven. Work will then not to be micromanaged or distributed/allocated, its more to be collaborated. Something, that just requires 'insight' rather than 'oversight'. An insight to read the mind of human aspect of individual as a leader one is interacting with. Future generation will not be someone to manage, thus no requirement for managers, but a requirement of integrator or aggregator who can think more powerfully than them to see holistic view of work instead of siloed contribution.
Hoping that human race can create such leaders and entrepreneur, who can accommodate the increasing mental faculties of human mind and utilize it for better future for humanity.
